Dark Chocolate Almond Bark

This Almond Bark recipe from Paleo Leap is so yummy!  


I made batches of this and packaged it in mason jars as holiday gifts. It was a big hit! I have also made this as a dessert for parties and kid functions (being aware of food allergies). This does not have peanuts, but does have tree nuts. 


Dark Chocolate Almond Bark

  1. 3 Cups Dark Chocolate Chips
  2. 6 Tbsp Raw Honey
  3. 3 Tbsp Coconut Oil
  4. 2 Cups Almonds
  5. 1/2 Tsp Salt
  6. 1/2 Tsp Cinnamon
  7. 1/2 Tsp Nutmeg
  1. Preheat oven 400 F.
  2. In a large saucepan over medium-high heat, combine honey and coconut oil. Allow mixture to bubble, and stir constantly to prevent burning.
  3. Add the almonds, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Stir until completly coated. Remove from heat.
  4. Line a baking sheet with parchement paper.
  5. Place nut mixture on the baking sheet. Cook 4 minutes. Remove promptly so the nuts do not burn.
  6. Cool completly.
  7. In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, melt the chocolate chips. Stir constantly. Once they are melted, remove from the heat.
  8. Pour almond mixture into the chocolate mix. Stir until they are mixed together.
  9. Line 13x9 glass baking dish with parchment paper.
  10. Pour mixture evenly into the dish using a spatula.
  11. Cool for at least 1.5 hours.
  12. Break into small pieces by hand.
